Squash and Racketball Leagues and Teams
Internal club leagues
Our active club leagues are open to all players and cater for all levels of ability. They operate all year round with changeovers taking place every four to six weeks, depending on the time of year, allowing members to move up and down the leagues according to their level of play.
The leagues offer a great way to establish regular playing partners of a similar standard, or to challenge you as you progress and improve. Although competitive, the internal leagues are very sociable and provide a great opportunity to meet new friends – many players have a relaxing drink in the bar after their games.
Internal league players are expected to contact opponents to organise matches – it is customary to offer to pay your share of the cost of the court. Find out how to book your courts.
To be included or removed from the internal leagues, please contact the League Secretary
Derbyshire squash leagues
We offer our members the opportunity to play competitive matches against other clubs. We enter teams into the Derbyshire county leagues through Derbyshire Squash & Racketball to play other clubs throughout the county and to give players the chance to represent the county for inter-county matches. Inter-club friendlies are also organised throughout the year.
There are currently 2 Derbyshire divisions, allowing access for players of most levels.
The winter league (Sept – April) is the most competitive and holds great status, whereas the summer league (May – Sept) is far more relaxed.
Amongst our teams there is great team spirit and camaraderie and, at the end of each season, a ‘team social’ is held to celebrate successes (or drown sorrows), with an evening meal followed by drinks in the local area.
Want to join the club teams?
We welcome new players to join our teams, so if you would like to take your squash or racketball to the next level and gain more experience playing different people at a competitive level, why not consider joining our club teams? Though you are required to be a competent player, experience in team squash / racketball is not necessary.

Club night
Held on Friday evenings, our club nights are friendly and informal. Club nights provide a great opportunity to practice and train as well as to meet other players at all levels of the game.
All players are welcome. Players wanting to take part are encouraged to book into the relevant sessions via the online booking system.
