Welfare Policies

Duffield Squash & Tennis Club is a members’ club and we welcome people from all sections of the community.

So that all our members have a great experience when playing at the club, we have a variety of policies including Safeguarding, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) and Anti-bullying (see all links below).

We expect all those who use the club to behave with courtesy towards each other. Social and competitive matches should be played in a friendly spirit. Coaching is supportive and intended to enable everyone to reach their potential.

Abusive language and unacceptable behaviour in the Clubhouse or on the courts is not allowed. Such behaviour will result in disciplinary action.

Members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns they may have with our Welfare Officer.

Safeguarding Policy

We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all our members. Our safeguarding policy is intended to help us minimise risk, deliver a positive sporting experience for everyone and respond appropriately to all safeguarding concerns/disclosures.

Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Policy

Duffield Squash & Tennis Club aims to make sport inclusive and open to a diverse range of people. Our equity, diversity & inclusion policy helps us to ensure that these principles are embedded in our club’s culture and our behaviours.

Changing Room Policy

Please note that the changing rooms are primarily for the use of adults, and where possible, juniors under the age of 18 should come to the club changed and ready to play. Exceptions to this are detailed in the policy

Anti-bullying Policy

We try to ensure that all young people and adults at risk are safeguarded from abuse and have an enjoyable tennis experience. Our anti-bullying policy sets out how to help prevent bullying from happening and how to make sure it is stopped as soon as possible.

Online Safety Policy

Our online safety policy sets out how the Club uses the internet and social media. It seeks to protect children involved with our organisation who make use of technology, as well as to provide staff, coaches and volunteers with the information they need to work safely and to respond to incidents.
