The development of junior players in both squash and racketball is one of the club’s primary objectives. We are committed to providing a range of activities for youngsters of all ages to encourage them to become involved and to progress in these sports.
Our licensed coaches provide a structured training programme for youngsters and we encourage boys and girls aged up to 18 to participate in leagues, club teams and competitions – all designed to be fun and enjoyable and help kids keep fit and healthy.
Through playing squash and racketball, junior members will be able to:
- improve fitness levels
- make new friends
- join in individual and team competitions
- develop team-working and communication skills
- learn self-discipline and sportmanship
The number of junior members within the club is growing at all levels, from novice to national level. Many of our juniors have moved on to play in our adult leagues and several have been nationally ranked over the years. This success at County and National level is attributed to high-quality coaching provided by our very experienced coaches.
Parents are welcome to watch the fun from the viewing galleries. Alternatively you may wish to sit and relax in the lounge bar area where you can also watch sporting events on the flat screen TV.
Duke of Edinburgh
In support of the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, we offer the opportunity for juniors to develop their coaching and leadership skills, or simply to volunteer.

Links with schools
The Club has established close links with schools in the Duffield area to give school pupils the opportunity to experience squash and racketball. To offer flexibility around school times, coaching is provided after school and at weekends. Ecclesbourne School team has had considerable success over the years in the National Schools Championships.
We welcome enquiries from other schools who wish to discuss how they can take part. Contact our coaching team for more information.
Junior coaching
We enable juniors to develop their skills through our structured coaching programme and run a series of coaching sessions throughout the week.
