Last night saw Benz Bavarian Duffield play league newcomers Everards Leicester in the third round of the PSL in what was an exciting evening of top quality quash.
Though Duffield won 4-1, they were challenged all the way. Leicester’s Tania Bailey too Millie Tomlinson to five games, and Darren Lewis took the first game against Duffield’s Ashley Davies who was able to pull back with a 3-1 win, putting Duffield 2-0 up. George Parker (newly-crowned British U19 champion) put in a win for Leicester when he beat Andy Whipp, but Chris Simpson sealed the win for Duffield beating Ben Coleman. Duffield were 3-1 ahead before top string Nick Matthew played and the match concluded 4-1 making it three out of three wins for Benz Bavarian Duffield.
