With the seasons PSL semi-finals just around the corner, we are thrilled to have two World Squash Champions playing for the Benz Bavarian Duffield PSL team tomorrow night in what promises to be an incredibly exciting evening.
Nick Matthew and Laura Massaro have become the first simultaneous English men’s and women’s World Squash Champions and there is great anticipation as they come back to Duffield to continue our quest for the PSL finals.
Benz Bavarian Duffield will host Exeter Diamonds, with Nick set to play Omar Mosaad the world No13 from Eqypt, and Laura will play Victoria Temple Murray, England’s reigning European Junior Champion. Stephen Coppinger, who is just back from his title victory in the PSA International 25 Northern Ontario Championships, will take on 15 time finnish champion Olli Tuominen, Joel Hinds will play Joey Barrington and Andy Whipp will face Tim Vail in the final string.
Manager, Felix Frixou said “We are really pleased to make the semi-finals again, and more so, proud to have two current World Champions playing. Its a big day for us at the club and we look forward to it.”
Members and non members are welcome. Seated tickets have sold out, standing tickets (£7/each) are selling fast, however we will also be streaming the matches live to the tv screen in the club lounge/bar area.
